Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris - is a sequel to the critically acclaimed title from Crystal Dynamics Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light («Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light"). The action takes place in the middle of the Egyptian desert, where most recently discovered Temple of Set, the god of chaos, who once ruled Egypt after killing his brother Osiris and subjugated the other gods. But once it became a little of Egypt and he went to the world of the dead in hopes to raise an army that could conquer the world. However, he never returned. Lara Croft, the celebrated explorer, thought that he could first get to the temple, but the adventurous archaeologist Carter Bell met her right at the entrance. Each of them hoped to find a mystical Staff of Osiris, but they found more than expected.
The temple served as a prison for Isis and Horus, the last of the gods who did not submit Seth. Seeing the staff, Carter took it, thereby launching the mechanism that activates a trap designed to hold the mountain and inside the Temple of Isis. Since then, the Carter and Lara condemned to death. But Horus and Isis, released after thousands of years of imprisonment and military staff, and Lara Carter promised to help resurrect Osiris, the only God who can save Lara and Carter on the verdict, and that is the only force able to defeat Seth. With a common goal to find all the pieces of Osiris and prevent the return of Seth´s characters are a team. As soon as they make their way across the sands to fight, they meet the gods and monsters of myth and legend, which are subordinated to Seth. At stake is the fate of the world, as Seth, supported by an army of the dead, going from strength to come back and claim the throne of the world of the living. Seth knows that the prophecy comes true, and he intends to rebuild the world in his own way, turning it into a nightmarish world of storms and death.
