20. Solving a chemistry problem
Content: 63.rar 21,97 kB
Product description
63. The maximum allowable average daily concentration of carbon monoxide CO in the air is 3.0 mg/m3. The simplest gas analyzer, which allows you to determine the presence of this toxic impurity in the air, contains white powder of iodine (V) oxide, deposited on pumice. When iodine (V) oxide interacts with carbon monoxide (II), a redox reaction occurs with the release of iodine, which turns the contents of the analyzer black. 0.10 g of iodine was released in the gas analyzer tube. How much carbon monoxide (II) substance passed through the device? What volume of air (at NV) containing 3.0 mg/m3 of carbon monoxide was passed through the tube?
