111. Solving a chemistry problem
Content: 6.2.rar 35,38 kB
Product description
Adipic acid in the butadiene hydrocarboxylation product was determined by paper chromatography. The chromatogram was developed with methyl red. The resulting spots were cut out along the contour, dried and weighed. For standard solutions with different contents of adipic acid, the following data were obtained.
Weight of acid, μg 10 20 30 40
Weight of paper with spot, mg 103 195 287 411
A portion of the analyzed sample weighing 253 mg was dissolved in 25 ml of water. A drop of the resulting solution with a volume of 0.07 ml was applied to chromatographic paper. The weight of the resulting spot was 309 mg. Determine the mass fraction of adipic acid in the analyzed solution.
