Frostpunk is the newest game from the creators of This War of Mine. This is a social survival game that asks the question: what are people on the brink of survival capable of? In a completely frozen world, people are developing steam engines to withstand the unbearable cold. The ruler of a city must manage both its inhabitants and the infrastructure in which they live. Tactical leadership skills will have to pass the test in situations that call into question the moral foundations of what is considered a civilized society. Often, optimization and rational use of resources are on one side of the scale, and compassion and humanity on the other. While managing the city and society will take up the lion´s share of the ruler´s time, at some point, exploring the outside world will become necessary to understand its history and current state.

Frostpunk is a city survival game where warmth is life and every decision has a price. Your task is to build the last city on earth and provide people with everything they need to survive.

MAINTAIN HOPE

Hope and will to live are the keys to survival. The ability to awaken and sustain them in people will be critical to your success.

ACCEPT THE LAWS

Society is a group of people who obey common laws and share beliefs. Pass laws that govern the lives of a growing population. Set working hours, provide medical care and food, and define other aspects of daily life. Give people hope and meet their needs - maintaining people´s morale is as important as giving them food and shelter.

CHOOSE CAREFULLY

Some of your decisions - for example, about helping a resident in trouble or a compromise with a new faction - may seem small, but remember that the sum of your actions can lead to unexpected results. People have trusted you, but their loyalty is not unlimited. Power can be a burden.

DEVELOP TECHNOLOGIES

Survival is impossible without progress. React to current events, but do not forget about the long term and invest in development and technological progress. Building an advanced infrastructure with autonomous automatons, aircraft and other technological wonders will not be easy, but achievable. It all depends on your management and leadership skills.

EXPLORE FROZEN LANDS

While New London is always your focus, the world is much more diverse than what is within your city limits. Expeditions are risky, but they can bring you important intelligence, valuable resources, and increase your city´s population. There may be people on the icy expanses, and their fate is entirely in your hands.

BUILD YOUR SOCIETY

When the tipping point comes, be decisive and determine the path of your people. Will you rule with an iron hand ... or will you show people the path of compassion and faith? Going to extremes or trying to find a reasonable balance? Whatever you choose, remember: there is no turning back.

The main storyline can change depending on your playstyle, but this is not the only challenge that will be presented to you. Frostpunk offers different scenarios and there will be additional updates with new content in the future.
