Product description

This book was written by two people - old and young. The old man teaches programs and other programming for more than 30 years. The young man worked as a programmer about ten years until they were captured by the passion to teaching and writing. The old man teaches programs and through their experience. The young man - thanks to the inexhaustible supply of energy. An old man strives for clarity; young people - to the highest efficiency. The old man like beauty and elegance. The young man wants results. We are united to the light appeared the book that we hope you'll find useful, interesting and entertaining. Most courses are taught language with people who know how to program. Many teachers think that the difficulties with a number of other challenges make this language unsuitable for primary education programming - just for the fact that the focus on this book. So why do we write it? The C language has taken a special place among the languages \u200b\u200bof the implementation of systems in the computer industry, and there is every reason to believe that its object-oriented version of the C ++ language will become a leading mid - late 90s. Harvey Deitel for 13 years he taught at the universities of Pascal, with an emphasis on developing clearly written, well-structured programs. Much of what is taught in introductory courses on Pascal - is the basic principles of structured programming. We have presented the material exactly as it did the older of us in their university courses. There are some pitfalls, but where they occur, we refer to them, and explain how you can avoid them. From experience we can say that students cope with this course is not worse than the same, but oriented Pascal. However, there is one significant difference: in students a very strong incentive because they teach a language that immediately would they need once they leave the university. They are enthusiastic about working with the material - not least, because of the increased difficulty of learning C. Our goal was clear: to write a textbook on programming in C for the introductory courses at university level with a focus on students who have little or zero programming experience, but at the same time the book offers a fairly rigorous account of the theory and practice characteristic of the traditional courses in language C. To achieve these goals, we have written a book more voluminous than conventional textbooks - because our text, among other things, gradually teaches the reader to the principles of structured programming . About 1,000 students have studied the material offered here in our courses. Tens of thousands of students around the world are studied from the first edition of this book. The book contains a large set of examples, exercises and projects from various areas, to give the reader the opportunity to solve interesting real-world problems. The book focuses on the principles of good software design and focuses on the clarity of programs written using the methodology of structured programming. We are trying to avoid the esoteric terminology and syntax specifications in favor of teaching by example.
