Project Production Work (PPR). Strengthening the bank of the Skhodnya river

Additional information

Document * .doc; 82 pp.;
This project was designed to strengthen the banks of the Skhodnya river in the Novogorsk microdistrict of Khimki, Moscow Region. 1.1. Initial materials for the development of the project - Terms of Reference; - Working draft. 2.1. Brief description of the site The territory of the planned construction is located within the left-bank floodplain of the Skhodnya River. A section of the coast, starting behind the automobile bridge along Zarechnaya Street, downstream, has a length of 600 m. In some places, the bogging of the territory is observed. Currently, the riverbanks are naturally formed and are completely free from buildings. Along the shore grow trees, small forests, shrubs. The approach to the river is limited, in some places it is not possible. Engineering and geological conditions of the site are characterized by an average degree of complexity with the presence of weak cover soils. There were no local places of lowering of the relief at the site, and therefore the conditions of surface runoff are characterized as satisfactory. 2.2. Engineering and geological conditions Absolute heights on the watershed in the northwestern part of the catchment reach 230 m. The river network in the basin is 5–20 m thick; middle and early Quaternary sediments are revealed. Deposits are represented by moraine ribbon clays, fluvioglacial sands, cover loams by alluvial sandy loam. Absolute elevations vary from 128 m to 242 m. The average slope of the catchment is 20,100. The ravine-beam network is confidently developing. Waterlogging less than 2%. The catchment area is significantly technologically transformed. The basin is crossed by railways and highways, which are private industrial watersheds. Low water levels are typical for winter and summer-autumn low water. The maximum levels are observed mainly during the continuation of the flood period, which, depending on the meteorological features of the year, can have one, two, and in rare cases more peaks. ";
