Stepanov decided to buy headsets in the furniture store. However, he didn’t have enough money with him to pay in full, and he agreed with the seller that he would pay two thirds of the price and bring the rest of the money the next day. The seller agreed, struck a check for a part of the amount received from Stepanov. The furniture remained in the store as being pledged to the seller. At night, there was a fire in the store, and the furniture there was burned. The next day, Stepanov made a request for the store to provide him with a similar headset. The store refused to satisfy the claim, justifying the refusal by saying that Stepanov, as the owner, bears the risk of accidental loss of property.
The dispute was referred to the court. Solve the case.
