Hermann Haken - a prominent German scientist, well-known in Russia as one of the pioneers of the term "synergy" and synergetic approach to science and interdisciplinary research. His book "Synergetics", "The Hierarchy of forms of instability in the nonequilibrium structures", "Self-organization and information" have been translated into Russian and were the most benevolent way meeting of the Russian scientific community.

This book, published in German in 1996 and was first translated into Russian, is a great example of the synergistic approach to the study of natural science and philosophical problems of human society and an example of such a complex process as the functioning of the brain, behavior and cognitive process rights.

The book has an extensive scientific apparatus, lots of color and black-and-white illustrations and is written primarily for professionals involved in this subject, but can also be used to train students in related disciplines in higher education.
