112. Solving a chemistry problem
Content: 131.rar 33,6 kB
Product description
131. During the adsorption of nitrogen on a mica sample at 90 K and gas pressures of 5.60 * 10-4 and 5.45 * 10-3 mm Hg. the volumes of adsorbed gas (reduced to normal conditions) were 1.082 * 10-6 and 1.769 * 10-6 m3, respectively. Assuming that the Langmuir isotherm applies in this case, calculate (a) the volume of the adsorbate at a pressure of 0.01 mm Hg. (b) surface area of a mica sample if the landing area of an N2 molecule is 15 A2.
