81. Solving a chemistry problem
Content: 29.rar 7,22 kB
Product description
29. Based on the position of gallium in the periodic system of chemical elements, characterize the electronic structure of its atoms and the redox properties of the element, namely:
a) determine the total number of electrons, the number of valence electrons and the maximum oxidation state, the number of electron layers;
b) write down the electronic formula of the valence sublevels and determine which electronic family (s-, p-, d-, f-) the element under consideration belongs to;
c) what properties - metallic or non-metallic - are characteristic of the element in question (motivate the answer);
d) which elements of the subgroup in which the element under consideration belongs have the lowest reducing activity (motivate the answer).
e) which element of the period in which the element under consideration is located has the highest electronegativity value (motivate the answer);
