74. Solving a chemistry problem
Content: 6.rar 39,46 kB
Product description
6. A weighed sample of 100 mg was dissolved in 10 ml of water. Portions of the resulting solution of 0.05 ml were analyzed for the content of adipic acid by paper chromatography. After developing the chromatogram, the spots were excised, dried and weighed. The average spot weight was 85 mg. Calculate the mass fraction (%) of adipic acid in the analyzed product if the following results are obtained for the standards:
mass of acid, μg 5 10 15 20
mass of paper with spot, μg 61 106 146 186
