Eternal Lords is the major second expansion to the acclaimed strategy game Age of Wonders III, marking one year of continuous development since its release. With the introduction of the Tigran and Frostling races, as well as the new Necromancer class, players must adapt to a world on the brink of cataclysmic change. New features such as the race management system, which allows players to customize the features of each race in their empire to suit their strategic needs, add new levels of depth to empire development and diplomacy. Necromancer Player Class:

Legions of the Necromancer are marching to establish an eternal kingdom, uniting all the races of the world in death. The Necromancer creates impressive undead units such as the Bone Collector, a crab-like monster that eats corpses to strengthen itself. Other units are summoned, such as Banshees, which cause despair in the hearts of the living. The dark magic of the Necromancer allows players to turn cities into cities of the dead filled with obedient ghoul minions.

Specializations for Torchbearers, Gray Wardens, and Shadowborn Leaders:

These Champions of Good, Neutrality, and Evil respectively deepen the alignment mechanic and give players of all classes the power to face the challenges of the new age. Learn spells to summon powerful angels, end game units that embody the essence of each alignment.

Race of Frostling Players:

Frostlings are a race of humanoids that came from the icy north. Led by their Ice Queens, they make frequent forays into warmer lands. Their seafaring skills, offensive fighting style, and frost magic instill fear among the coastal villages they plunder. Hoarfrost is even deadlier in its native arctic climate, where they build cities carved into the very glaciers they hope will someday grow to cover the land.

Tigran Race:

These feline humanoids hail from remote desert lands. They worship the sun and watch the change of day and night; life and death. Their natural curiosity for necromancy and the passage of royal souls to realms of glory in the afterlife inspires them to build massive tombs. Tigrans are natural sprinters, able to move much faster in combat than other races, and are familiar with shape-shifting magic that allows their mystics to transform into dire panthers.

Eternal Lords story campaign:

An epic battle of the forces of creation: fire against ice, life against death. As Arvik, heir to the shattered Frostling kingdom, you awaken the forbidden powers of necromancy to reclaim your kingdom. You will find unexpected allies and will have to choose between your Frostling roots or the full potential of your newly discovered powers.

Space phenomena:

The dawn of the Eternal Lords has caused cataclysms that can radically change fate. These events take place over the course of the game, disrupting the best-laid plans and providing an opportunity for cunning players to gain an advantage. Falling clouds can fill the world with mist, weakening the hits of vehicles and armored units and reducing sight range, while the March of the Troll King can send troll armies rampaging across the map.
