Bully is a third-person action-adventure game. An updated version, subtitled Scholarship Edition, appeared in October 2008. The action takes place in the fictional New England town of Bullworth. The main character is "difficult" teenager Jimmy Hopkins, who grew up without a father. His mother remarried and left with her stepfather on a year-long honeymoon, leaving her son at Bullworth Academy, a private boarding school. Jimmy has to find his place among school gangs, local bullies and bullies.
Bully is an open world game where the progression of the storyline is connected with the movement of the hero through the territory of the academy and the city. In the city and at the academy, Jimmy can complete side quests in order to earn money or improve his abilities, or storyline quests to move forward. Jimmy has access to different types of weapons that are typical for his age - a slingshot, firecrackers, a potato gun and the like. In addition to tasks, players can also participate in school life - for example, successfully attending classes and taking classes on them give Jimmy certain bonuses. The original game has six subjects (English, drawing, labor, physical education, photography, chemistry), four more have been added to the Scholarship Edition (biology, geography, mathematics, music).
