The protagonist of the game - Detective Jack Walters, when performing tasks in a mysterious house in Boston, opens the gates to an unknown world. What he saw there impressed Walters so much that he went insane and spent six years in an insane asylum. Getting out of there, Walters realizes that he does not remember anything that he did during these six years, but one thing is clear - he thoroughly and very persistently studied occult books. The game lacks a familiar interface - or rather, it does not exist at all, as such. There is not even a band of health - instead of the level of health, here is the level of mental state, invisible to the player. When it decreases, the character begins to see and hear hallucinations and gradually go crazy. Dropping to the minimum mark, mental health makes itself felt - the character goes mad completely or commits suicide. Game over.
