The UK Treasury is a one-of-a-kind state financial institution, unparalleled in other countries. It is one of the most ancient and preserved constitutional institutions of the country. This is the main ministry in the government. Its historically established powers are wider in comparison with the finance ministries of other countries. The Treasury is responsible for developing the country´s overall economic strategy.
However, the concept of "resident" is not clearly defined in UK tax laws. When addressing the issue of residency in relation to individuals in tax practice, as well as in British courts, a number of criteria are used, based on factual circumstances.
Until 1965, both individuals and legal entities, including corporations, paid income tax. With the introduction of a separate tax on corporate profits, its scope has narrowed to the personal income of citizens, including those who are self-employed or are partners of a business partnership.
In England and Wales, the taxable value of the property represents the cost of hiring on the open market, provided that the employer bears all costs associated with the repair, maintenance and maintenance, as well as insurance.
