Welcome to a giant landfill called Deponia! Among the huge number of its inhabitants there is one simple, but very wayward lad Rufus, who can’t come to terms with his pitiful fate. Like all the rest of the poor, he is doomed to live the rest of his life, in the truest sense of the word, in a landfill. More than anything, he wants to get into the world of the rich, which is located in the heavenly city of Elysium just above the clouds. And once good luck smiles on him: a mysterious girl named Gole falls right on top of him. The guy decides to help the beautiful girl back to her husband. When Rufus realizes that he and her husband are like two drops of water, a diabolical plan is born in his head how to make his way into high society. However, not everything is going so smoothly: Rufus cannot resist the beauty and charm of a beautiful lady and falls in love with her. Love creates incredible things with it, changing our hero for the better right before our eyes.

Help Rufus, the poor lad from the landfill, win the heart of the heavenly girl. Only with its help can he get out of the Deponium and, unexpectedly for himself, save the planet.
