Andrei Zhukov: “The“ Scientists Against Myths ”forum was held in Moscow on June 5, 2016. It was presented about a dozen reports mainly related to myths in historical science. I am usually not interested in dealing with pseudoscience. which, frankly, hurt me. Therefore, I found it necessary to make a counter-report on the topic, which I have been doing for more than one year and which hurt me.
 This is a specific report by Dmitry Belyaev "Myths of pre-Columbian America." Dmitry is a candidate of historical sciences, deputy director of the Mesoamerican Center named after Yu.V. Knorozova RSUH and is engaged in the problems of Mayan culture.
 In his report, he touched upon both Mexican civilizations and Peruvian. When he spoke about the predictions of the ancient Maya about the 2012 apocalypse or, ostensibly, about the image of an astronaut on the sarcophagus in Palenque, of course, these are crazy myths from the yellow press. But other so-called pseudoscientific myths, be it the Nazca desert phenomenon, Ica´s engraved stones, or the Djulsrud collection in the city of Acambara in Mexico, are, in my opinion, somewhat of a different story ...
