Driver: San Francisco is a direct sequel to the racing action game Driv3r, set several months after the events of the third game. John Tanner and Charles Jericho survived a shootout in Istanbul and returned to the United States. Having moved from Miami to San Francisco, Tanner continues to patrol the city streets. Jericho, meanwhile, is facing prison but manages to arrange an escape with an acquaintance.

A distinctive feature of Ubisoft Driver: San Francisco is its quick-switch feature: the player can instantly switch between vehicles, improving their skills. The action game features over 200 km of track, allowing players to explore the city´s landmarks and scenic views in any of the 100 vehicles featured. The game requires 1 to 2 GB of RAM, depending on the user´s operating system. The game can be played online, co-op with friends, or in a split-screen mode.
