Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse is an adventure video game based on the animated series Family Guy. The project follows the Griffin family, namely Stewie and Brian, as they travel to various parallel universes to stop Stewie´s evil counterpart, Bertram, from destroying Quahog and the entire universe. In terms of gameplay, users control Stewie and Brian through various levels, using a variety of weapons and abilities to defeat enemies. The project features both foot and vehicle combat, as well as puzzle-solving elements.

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse takes place in Quahog, the fictional town where the series is set, but gamers will be able to visit other locations from the series as well as new locations unique to the game. The project has 4 different worlds: Quahog, the universe of the Giant Chicken, the Amish and the post-apocalyptic world. As for the characters, users will be able to interact with the heroes of the series, such as Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris and Glenn Quagmire. Bertram, Stewie´s evil doppelgänger, is the main villain of the game and gamers must defeat him in the end.

When it comes to weapons, users can use various types of weapons such as pistols, swords, and even household items such as frying pans and toasters. Some examples of weapons are: Hand of God, Sacred Hand Grenade, Death Ray, etc. The project has a single-player campaign mode, as well as a cooperative mode in which gamers can team up with a friend to complete all the tests together. The title also features a "challenge" format in which users can compete with each other in mini-games and challenges.
