Flazhkin and Butylkin, trying to take possession of a significant amount of money with which, according to their calculations, the workers of one of the firms Sudakov and Okunev should have returned by car from another city, decided to kill them. To this end, they met a car with Sudakov and Okunev on the highway and, acting according to a pre-developed plan, stopped her. Approaching the car, Flazhkin, realizing the general plan of the crime, shot Okunev and killed him, but Butylkin shot Sudakov, but only wounded him. Sudakov jumped out of the car and tried to escape. Flazhkin and Butylkin began to pursue him, periodically shooting at him. Since many cars appeared on the highway, they were forced to hide, not completing their intent and not taking possession of money.
