Ferocious, nightmarish monsters roam the swamps of Louisiana. You are part of a group of hardened mercenaries who have been tasked with ridding the world of their chilling presence. Wipe the creatures off the face of the earth, and you will be paid handsomely. With this money, you can buy even more advanced and powerful weapons. But if you fail the task, death will take your character and equipment. Your experience, however, will forever remain in your reserve of hunters, also known as a legacy.
HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD, HIGH STRESS
Competitive match-based gameplay combines PvP and PvE elements to create a level of tension that no other game has. Everything is on the line in this game - your life, your character, and your gear. At the start of each trophy hunt, a team of players sets out to hunt down their monstrous targets. There can be up to 12 hunters on the map. Depending on the mode and settings, these 12 hunters can be solo players, teams of two, or teams of three. Once one team has located and defeated the monster, they will receive the trophy and immediately become a target for all other hunters remaining on the map. Be on your guard, or you will get stabbed in the back and the only thing you will see before you die is another team of hunters carrying off your loot. The greater the risk, the greater the reward, but a single mistake can cost you everything.
Quick Play lets you take part in short matches of up to ten players. Players must collect gear to close four rifts and compete for a limited number of rewards. The first hunter to reach the final rift will absorb its energy, but they must survive a countdown to complete the task - while other hunters try to destroy it to claim the trophy for themselves. When the countdown ends, all hunters except the winning hunter will die.
PROGRESS
Even after death, you can rank up your hunters through Legacy. Although one of your characters may die, their XP will be transferred to your Legacy, where it can be shared among other hunters. If you leave the map alive, you can use the money and XP you earned to gear up new hunters and prepare for the next match. If you die, you lose everything except your XP.
DARK VISION
"Dark Vision" allows hunters to peer through the veil between worlds, making visible to all initiates what cannot be seen by mortal eyes. Use "Dark Vision" while tracking monsters, and a ghostly light will indicate your next target. "Dark Vision" can also be used to see players carrying a trophy, making it easier to ambush them when they try to escape.
