In December 2002, Kravtsova appealed to the court to establish the fact of the death of her husband Kravtsov. In a statement, she pointed out that in June 2002 her husband had drowned in a river when the boat overturned, on which he was riding with his friends Zakharov and Brinchuk. Zakharov and Brinchuk remained alive. Kravtsov’s corpse was not found, as a result of which the registry bodies refused to register the fact of his death. After hearing Kravtsov, announcing the written testimony of Zakharov and Brinchuk, the court decided to declare Kravtsov dead.
