The new game mode "Conquest" will take you into the thick of the action of a key offensive on the Italian front. Lead the attack through stunning Italian landscapes as you choose your path to victory: cut through barbed wire, outflank your enemies on mountain paths, or use a mortar to blast your way through. Create momentum on the battlefield by placing sandbags, barbed wire, ammo boxes, trench periscopes and sniper shields, and more.

Take part in historical offensives: from the sixth battle of the Isonzo to the Punitive Expedition. As you advance within a single offensive, actions will unfold in a variety of landscapes: from foothill fortresses to trenches in the mountains and fierce battles on the streets of cities, while reflecting the course of real events. Everything is based on real research and expeditions: from sound effects and uniforms, to houses, vineyards and trenches for which you have to fight.

Call for support with a uniquely historically accurate flare system: flare guns can indicate targets for artillery and biplanes, and colored flares can be used to signal to a squad. When the big cannons weaken the enemy, finish the close combat you started with the Arditi Dagger or Ice Axe. Use heavy machine guns, mortars, and even mountain guns for direct fire support.

Choose from six classes based on historical combat roles, and customize your gear by matching the weapons, gear, and traits that are specific to that class. This provides flexibility and variety, although the basis is taken from what real soldiers of those times could carry with them. You have to work with barbed wire cutters, bandage the wounds of yourself and your teammates, use the whistle to signal the attack. One hit can kill, and even minor wounds can quickly lead to blood loss.

To become a good soldier under the Isonzo, it is not enough just to be a marksman. The ability to use the terrain is also of key importance - the mountain can become both an ally and an enemy. Learn to navigate the mountains well to find cover, surprise your enemies or help your allies.

Last but not least... beware of the deadly poison gas. You have never seen such an immersion in the First World War!
