Juveniles Dmitriev (15 years old) and Sarzhin (16 years old) were convicted of stealing the property of an exploration party. The claim for damages caused to the party was examined in civil proceedings. At the time of the crime, Dmitriev was under the supervision of an orphanage; guardianship in respect of Sargin was carried out by his uncle (Sargin´s parents were deprived of parental rights). At the court session, it was established that Sakharov (13 years) and Novikov (12 years) also took part in the theft, in respect of whom a criminal case was not instituted. Both teenagers were raised by mothers, fathers lived separately and did not take part in raising children.
