Kokovin, convicted of counterfeiting (part 1 of article 186 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) to 7 years in prison, while serving his sentence, killed a cellmate (part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), for which he was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment. At the time of the verdict for the murder, Kokovin served half the sentence for the first crime. The court sentenced Kokovin to a final sentence of 16 years in prison.
