ASCON Company offers you the KOMPAS-3D Home system — a non-commercial version of the KOMPAS-3D system.
The KOMPAS-3D Home system is intended for personal non-commercial use on your home computer. The system´s functionality allows it to be used in various fields of activity. It can be successfully used to complete your own homework, course and diploma projects, other academic work, as well as to develop documents for independent non-commercial use.
KOMPAS-3D Home is designed specifically for the Microsoft Windows operating environment and takes full advantage of all its capabilities and advantages to provide the user with maximum efficiency and ease of use.
The system supports document files created in the professional version of the KOMPAS-3D system. At the same time, a special license is required to open documents created in KOMPAS-3D Home in the professional version of the system.
Main components of KOMPAS-3D Home:
- Three-dimensional modeling system
Designed to create three-dimensional associative models of individual parts and assemblies. Parametric technology allows you to quickly obtain models of typical products based on a prototype designed once.
- Drawing and graphic editor (KOMPAS-Graphic)
Designed to automate design and engineering work.
- Specification design module
The module allows you to issue various specifications, statements and other tabular documents. When used together with the 3D Modeling System and/or Drawing and Graphic Editor, it is possible to create specifications associated with assembly drawings and 3D assembly models.
- Text editor
Designed to develop various types of text documentation. Both standard and custom document formatting are possible.
In addition to the main components listed above, KOMPAS-3D Home includes applications that automate both individual types of work, such as calculations, and various aspects and areas of design, such as modeling mechanical transmissions, constructing pipelines, etc.
A significant number of applications are included in KOMPAS-3D Home for mechanical engineering and instrument making and are installed together with it. Other applications, such as KOMPAS-Electrician - a system for issuing a set of documents for electrical equipment, Electronic Designer´s Handbook, Construction Configuration - a set of applications for automating the release of design documentation, are independent products and are installed separately.
Main differences between KOMPAS-3D Home and the professional version of KOMPAS-3D
KOMPAS-3D Home does not have the ability to work with some applications and libraries. The "New Features" section of the help system may contain information about applications that are missing from KOMPAS-3D Home, since KOMPAS-3D Home comes with the help system of the professional version of KOMPAS-3D. The list of applications provided in the Composition of KOMPAS-3D Home for Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation section of this document is relevant for KOMPAS-3D Home.
KOMPAS-3D Home does not have integration with engineering data management systems.
When printing drawings, text documents, and specifications created in KOMPAS-3D Home, information about the KOMPAS-3D Home system is automatically added to the sheets. This data is placed along the edges of the sheets.
KOMPAS-3D Home can open files created in the professional version of KOMPAS-3D, but a special license is required to open KOMPAS-3D Home files in the professional version.

Activation Instructions:
Immediately after installation, click "Activate".
The security key utility will open, you may need to wait a few seconds.
Scroll the text further to the corresponding heading.
If you have not done this immediately, run the security key utility from the Start menu (Recently added or the KOMPAS-3D v23 Home x64 folder), or directly from the program (Help - Security Key Utility...):
In the window that opens, click the Activation button
Enter the code, click Next
Specify the email address, click Activate
If everything went well, a message about successful activation will appear.
KOMPAS-3D Home is designed for use on personal computers running Russian-language (localized) 64-bit versions of operating systems updated to the current state:
Microsoft Windows 11,
Microsoft Windows 10,
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (with updates KB2919355, KB2999226 installed),
Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 (see the section Limited support for Windows 7).
The computer must have Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.8 must be installed.
In Windows 7, the Aero theme must be used
The required amount of free hard disk space for installing KOMPAS-3D Home for mechanical engineering and instrument making: 17.2 GB.
