Product description

The purpose of this work is to reveal the patterns of the plant continuum in the landscape, that is, within the framework of the space allocated according to some preconditions. In this regard, a number of landscapes are ordered according to the climatic gradient, and the whole diversity of plant communities is analyzed in them. Thus, space is taken into account as one of the factors determining the structure of phytocenoses. On the example of five landscape districts, three of which were studied in northern Transbaikalia, one in Western Siberia, and one in Valdai, changes in the ecological-phytocenotic ranges of species (EPD) along the landscape gradient are analyzed. It is shown that: a) the structure of the plant continuum is individual for each landscape; b) due to the climatic background; c) the change in the EFD of species is stereotypical, namely: at the beginning of the gradient, that is, in the most unfavorable landscapes, the species appears in the most favorable ecotopes. As climatic conditions improve, the EFD of the species first expands and then is displaced into the area of less favorable ecotopes and, at the end of the gradient, narrows, confining itself only to the most unfavorable ecotopes.
The book is designed for the scientific contingent in the field of phytocenology
