The patient grew up healthy, cheerful, capable, graduated from high school, worked as a typist. Married since 23 years. She was always a very good housewife, “handywoman of all trades,” pedantically accurate; cooked well. Since 1945, a memory disorder began to be observed. In 1949, this disorder became gross. The patient forgot her father’s name, forgot how to cook; when she was asked to peel carrots, she did not understand, she asked what carrots were. She made handkerchiefs from very small rags, darned, like stockings, old, torn unnecessary scarves. My dishes, asking where to get a towel, immediately forgot the answer. Caring for a sick mother, she could not cope with simple matters; instead of serving the ship
