Petrov appealed to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court with a statement declaring the decision of the election commission of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to transfer to the federal budget revenue the electoral deposit made by him as a candidate for deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in the Achinsk single-member district. He pointed out that the election commission, when making the decision, referred to the fact of cancellation of its registration by the decision of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court. The applicant believes that the cancellation of his registration in accordance with the current legislation on elections cannot entail such consequences as the transfer of the electoral deposit to the budget.
