Program CROSSWORD 3.2

Version 3.2 of the CROSSWORD program made it as easy as possible the creation
of new crosswords. For this, a database of words and their corresponding
questions is provided, stored in the folder AUTOCRS.

Inside this main database folder the following structure is:
the database related to the Russian-language embedded font mode is stored in
the RUS folder;
the database related to the English language embedded font mode is stored in
the ENG folder;
databases related to external font files are stored in folders named after
the corresponding font files.

A similar file location structure is now in the DAT and SAV folders.

Everything is created automatically and you don´t need to bother with it. Now
you just don´t have to control which file corresponds to which font file.
Everything is done automatically. You don´t have to go anywhere with your
hands, never. Unless you are an experimental hacker.

The database is created, used and replenished automatically when creating new
crossword data files by any of two ways. To do this, in response to the
request that appears, select the autocrs option (press * on the keyboard or
click the mouse on *). Or refuse this option (we see no reason to do this) by
pressing any other key on the keyboard (by clicking on other), - then everything
will be as before.

With this option selected, you will not have to write questions for the words
contained in the database - ideally, not a single question. And those words
that are not yet in the database will automatically replenish the database
along with the questions written to them, so that it will be easier next
time.

You do not need to control what font you create a new crossword puzzle - these
are the functions of the program. Only now the data files corresponding to a
specific embedded or external font will be available and displayed if the
corresponding embedded font mode or an external font file is selected in the
main or configuration menu items. Otherwise, they will not be displayed and
will be inaccessible from the program, although they will be stored in the
corresponding folders. This is for your convenience.

To automatically replenish the database of words and questions to them from
ready-made crossword data files, as well as to manually replenish and delete
words and questions to them, item R of the main program menu is intended. Just
follow the prompts and instructions that appear - everything is as intuitive
and automated as possible. The database, corresponding to the embedded font
mode or external font file selected by the main or configuration menu items,
will be automatically updated and changed. You have to control only font
selection and nothing else. The database is replenished only with those words
(and questions to them) that are not yet in the database. If the word is not
in the database, then it will not be deleted. Everything is provided. To replace
a question to the word with a better one, you must first delete this word
from the database (the question for it will be deleted automatically along
with the word); and then, add the same word to the database (along with a
written new question to it). Full automation!

Remember that a separate database is created for each embedded font or external
font file. You can set a goal to replenish the database for a specific mode of
the embedded font or external font file as fully as possible alphabetically
using dictionaries. Then the process of creating a new crossword data file
will be reduced only to entering words into the crossword grid and will take a
minimum of time. Databases for specific fonts-alphabets can be exchanged (or
sold) over the Internet.
