RIOT – Civil Unrest is the long-awaited strategy game: a real-time uprising simulation that puts the player in the thick of world-famous clashes. The following campaigns are waiting for you: Outraged (Spain), Arab Spring (Egypt), Keratea (Greece) and NoTAV (Italy). Seventeen one-level scenarios will take you to Rome, Auckland, Paris, London and Ukraine.

Leonard Menchiari, the creator of RIOT - Civil Unrest, is familiar with the uprisings as he participated in the NoTAV protests in Italy. He created this game to share with others those stories and feelings that are familiar to the protesters. What makes the crowd act so angry and aggressive? How do police officers feel when they encounter crowds that outnumber them during conflicts? RIOT - Civil Unrest gives players the option to take sides in battles where there can be no winner. Who is right and who is wrong? Play RIOT - Civil Unrest and draw your own conclusions.

Play on the side of the police
• Apply various methods of crowd control: both passive and aggressive.
• Manage assault and tactical squads, as well as squads of shooters.
• Call for help: police trucks, a water cannon or even a tank!
• Decide whether you will use smoke bombs, rubber and plastic bullets, or even real ammo.

Play for the protesters
• Give instructions to protesters (armed or passive) and journalists
• Incite people to violent attacks or try to resolve the situation with tactical regroupings and retreats.
• Attack government officials with Molotov cocktails, fireworks, paper bombs, rocks, street furniture and media power.

Many modes
• Sixteen campaign levels divided into four scenarios: Keratea (Greece), NoTAV (Italy), Outraged (Spain) and Arab Spring (Egypt).
• Watch the story from both sides: play all 32 levels as protesters or the police.
• Single player mode: play against artificial intelligence.
• Versus mode: play with or against your friends and AI on the same computer.

Create your own rebellions with the level editor (available in preview)
• Change the environment by applying your own background images.
• Place elements, vehicles and obstacles in the right places.
• Choose and place protesters and police at certain starting positions, give them orders and change their level of aggression.
