Rocket League is football on wheels, and that´s all you need to know. On the field two teams, up to four cars in each, in the middle - a big ball, which you need to run at full speed, hoping that he will bounce in the right direction. No rules, no distribution of roles in this case, no: all at the same time and attackers and goalkeepers, and no offsides to you.
The field is covered with a grid, so that no one flew to the stands - otherwise this would happen all the time. Cars under the control of players are much more mobile than a normal car: they have a double jump, they can arbitrarily change the position of the hull in the air and, of course, accelerate if you press a special button. "Nitro" requires energy, the cells with which are scattered across the field. But you can jump as much as you like.
Control is intuitively understandable and does not create any barrier. The camera is conveniently fixed on the ball (if you want, it is unfastened by one button). During the game it is always clear where to go, and always clearly imagine what kind of blow now you want to do. And nevertheless, no one ever gets anything right. Rocket League in the first 5 - 10 hours - this is the perfect game in order to make a noisy fool around.
It´s easy to steer here, but it´s not trivial to learn how to properly handle a ball. The physical model is not just heavy, but ruthless: the projectile does not forgive any mistakes and embarrassments. Send it under a certain angle at first it is impossible, and therefore you try to at least poke it somewhere in the direction of the gate.
In a voice chat, this is a mess, because everyone is screaming, machines are making crazy pirouettes, and any ball thrown toward the gate causes hysterical "no, no, no, no !!!" and the answer is "yes !!!" .
