Welcome to the Colony!
The Kingdom of Myrtana is besieged by hordes of merciless orcs. Producing powerful weapons requires vast quantities of magical ore, so King Rhobar II exiled all prisoners to the mines of Khorinis. To prevent escape, the monarch ordered the kingdom´s finest mages to cast a barrier. But something went wrong; the spell went out of control, trapping everyone within this magical shield. The prisoners revolted and took over the colony, turning it into a kingdom of notorious criminals.
The king is forced to negotiate with the new mine owners, but tensions between the colony´s various factions are growing. And amidst this chaos, an unknown convict appears, whose arrival will change everything...
A True Role-Playing Game
The remake remains faithful to the first Gothic, preserving its hallmarks: complete freedom and limitless possibilities. The dark and harsh world of the colony is meticulously crafted. During the day, its inhabitants go about their business and follow a familiar routine, independent of the player´s actions.
While the core elements of the game remain intact, the remake features an expanded quest system, additional NPC actions, new movement options, and a completely modernized combat system.
