Serious Sam 3: BFE is an arcade "meat" first-person shooter, which is a prequel to the rest of the series. The army of the evil Mental is attacking the Earth, and the player in the role of Cool Sam, the invincible warriors, will have to find and activate the ancient time machine in order to save the Earth and all its inhabitants from destruction.
Since the events of the game are a prequel, where Sam has not yet gone back to the past, the developers have chosen a setting that is modern - players travel through Egypt, fighting with aliens both in cities and in the ruins of ancient temples over twelve large levels. Most levels are linear, and they need to destroy as many opponents as possible, reaching the end of the level. The weapons arsenal has not changed much - Sam now has at his disposal a sledgehammer, a gun, a ship’s gun, a shotgun, a double-barreled shotgun, a laser gun and a sniper rifle - the latter, however, only in the form of secret weapons.
