1. In the determination of adipic acid in the product of hydrocarboxylation of butadiene by paper chromatography, the resulting spots, developed with methyl red, were cut out, dried and weighed. for standard mixtures with different content of adipic acid, the following data were obtained:
Acid mass, μg: 5 10 15 20
Mass of paper with a stain, cm3: 61 106 146 186
A weighed portion of the analyzed sample m1 = 100 mg was dissolved in V = 10 cm3 of water, and 0.05 cm3 portions of the resulting solution were chromatographed.
The mass of the spots obtained was m2 = 85 mg.
Determine the mass fraction () of adipic acid in the analyzed product.

2. For the chromatographic determination of nickel on paper impregnated with a solution of dimethylglyoxime, three standard solutions were prepared. A weighed portion of NiCl2 • 6H2O weighing m (g) was dissolved in a volumetric flask with a capacity of 50.0 ml. To build a calibration graph 5.00; 10.00 and 20.00 ml of the resulting solution was diluted with water to 50.0 ml. The analyzed solution containing nickel was also diluted with water to 50.0 ml and the height of the peaks formed during chromatography was measured. Determine the mass (mg) of nickel in the test solution. Table;

m, g Peak height, mm
h1 h2 h3 hX
