Requires at least 4GB RAM, stable high-speed internet (50Mbps+ recommended for generation), and initial rollout limited to US/Canada—use VPN for other regions if needed. Android app support planned for Q1 2026.

Ensure you have an active OpenAI account. Download the Sora iOS app from the App Store or visit sora.com. Sign in with your OpenAI credentials to register and join the waitlist—enable push notifications in the app for instant alerts. Rollout began September 30, 2025, starting with iOS users in the US/Canada.
Once invited, open the app or dashboard and look for the "Enter Invite Code" prompt (or similar).
Enter your Invite Code.
Tap "Redeem" to activate (requires internet). ChatGPT Pro subscribers get priority access to the enhanced Sora 2 Pro model. Note: If you see errors like "Invalid code" or "Region not supported," switch to a US/Canada VPN server. For cameos (inserting real people), record a quick 10-second video/audio clip in-app for likeness verification.
