Overlord, the new full expansion for Stellaris, gives access to new features that will help open the next level of your empire. The galaxy is filled with potential subjects – lead it to glory or subjugation. New mechanics give you a variety of ways to assign roles to your vassals in your empire, subjugate new planets and civilizations, and build magnificent new megastructures to spread your power further and faster.
Whether you rule the galaxy from the bridge of your flagship or the opulent capital of your majestic homeworld, Overlord gives you new powers.
The Rulers Make the Rules:
• The new Vassal mechanic lets you define the roles of your new subjects. Create new specialized empires that can become economic superpowers or develop military or technological experts. Negotiate or make demands on your vassals, determining the future of dozens of worlds, and reap the benefits!
A Unified Galaxy (Under Your Rule):
• Find and unite empires scattered among the stars! As you explore the vast galaxy, you´ll encounter a variety of factions, from the mysterious Shroud Walkers to militant mercenaries and resourceful scavengers. Will you be able to form a mutually beneficial partnership with them and gain access to their unique capabilities, or will you force them into submission?
Five new origins:
• Imperial Fiefdom. You may be a niche empire now, but one day the galaxy will need a new ruler... Could that be you? - Starfleet. The ruins of a quantum catapult have been discovered near your homeworld. What secrets will your people uncover if they can restore the machine?
• Subterraneans. Your species has adapted to life underground, excelling in resource extraction and archaeology. Find out what awaits you above the surface!
• Veil Masters. Your empire has evolved through contact with curious psionic beings known as Veilwalkers, and has learned to expand consciousness!
• Progenitor Hive. Under your command, a hive-minded empire will reach incredible heights… but without your guidance, the hive will perish!

• New technological marvels will help your empire become the dominant force in the galaxy.
• Orbital Rings will demonstrate your power to the cosmos, increasing your influence and bolstering planetary defenses.
