Stirring Abyss is a turn-based tactical indie game with strong RPG elements, in which you have to uncover the ancient secrets of the deep in the entourage of the classic stories of Howard Lovecraft.
You are in command of the surviving crew of the USS Salem, which sank in the early years of the Cold War while on a top-secret exploration mission. Humans find themselves in the ruins of a lost civilization, their ship too damaged to rise to the surface. EXCITING STORY MODE In Story Mode, you have to unravel the mysteries of the depths while making a desperate attempt to rescue missing crew members and repair the badly damaged Salem. The decisions you make will determine the fate of your crew - and the world. ADAPT AND MUTATING YOUR TEAM The fate of an expedition depends on the strengths of its members. A wide range of skills and character traits are at your disposal, all of which open up new facets in battles and story events. As you progress deeper, you can also subject the crew to mutations that give powers, but are creepy. The price of survival is high, and no one will leave the abyss the same.
SURVIVE THE MADNESS The horrors and emptiness that lurk in the watery depths are sometimes unbearable, and bouts of despair, exhaustion and madness can await your team.
