The Angel of Death hovers over your castle! The Emperor and Hermit DLC includes two new AI opponents and a completely new Battle Challenge. Being the spiritual heirs of the Emperor and Abbot from the original Stronghold Crusader (2002), the Emperor and Hermit are driven exclusively by religious motives. Supported by fanatics who are ready to follow their leaders everywhere, these new characters are a dangerous force for both sides in the Crusader conflict. A new addition to Stronghold Crusader 2, the Emperor and the Hermit add seven new missions, two AI characters, achievements, additional emblems for players and new castle designs unique to the Emperor and the Hermit.

Beware of the holy lands, for the next pair of lords will soon fight for the desert and bring with them ruthless religious fanaticism. After many years of isolation, the Hermit was blinded by a self-righteous claim to sacred authority. Now he controls the legions of the Assassins, who are visible to him much better than his enemies. The Emperor came from distant lands, owning huge armies that would stop at nothing in order to expand his Kingdom and include the entire Middle East. To complete seven new missions and three new maps in the Battle Trials of the Emperor and the Hermit, you will need ingenious tactics and combat training, because the difficulty of the tests is even higher than before. Bring ice and water, for the heat of the desert is growing, and the blades of new opponents do not know mercy.

Emperor, who came from Germany. The Emperor was once a high-ranking religious figure, revered throughout the world. Excommunicated and humiliated in the eyes of his followers, the Emperor now leads a breakaway group of fanatics convinced that God will choose the Emperor as a guide to the holy lands.

The hermit, who received strict religious education in the lands that are now a field of pain, is somewhat upset by the presence of the Crusader invaders in them. As a character, the Hermit is somewhat far from Stronghold, because he does not have a predetermined power, royal blood, military past or House that could serve as a symbol to confirm his status. However, under his control is an army of religious fanatics, angry because of the invasion and craving for the blood of the crusaders no less than their leader.
