You can give the Axis forces an order to invade Libya, Tunisia and Egypt to catch the American forces by surprise and defeat them in the Battle of Kasserin Pass, or to take command of the Allies and reproduce the second battle of El Alamein, which turned the Libyan campaign the wilderness. Test your tactical abilities while fighting in the harsh desert amidst sandstorms. Key Features: Sudden Strike 4: Africa - Desert War offers two small campaigns with six new missions based on events in North Africa during World War II.
In the Axis campaign, you will begin with the advance of the Italians into Egypt, to seize the city of Sidi Barrani, carry out the siege of Tobruk and gain control over the local harbor, as well as break through the Kasserine Pass in Tunisia. In the Allied campaign, you will take part in Operation Compass and regain control of the village of Sidi Barrani, recreate the turning point of the campaign in the Libyan Desert - the second battle of El Alamein - and break through the German defense in the battle for the Maret line.
There are five new doctrine commanders in the game: on the Axis side, you can choose Erwin Rommel, who was awarded with many insignia, or one of three Italian commanders — for example, famous field marshal Giovanni Messe. On the Allied side, you can play for the legendary General Sir Richard O´Connor.
In Sudden Strike 4: Africa - Desert War, you will find more than 30 new types of transport, including a medical truck, PT-SAU Marder II, the British SAU Bishop, and the Italian SAU Semovente da 105/25.
