A body with mass m1 = 2 kg moves along a smooth horizontal surface with a speed v1 = 4 m/s and catches up with a second body with mass m2 = 10 kg, moving with a speed v2 = 1 m/s. Find the velocities of the bodies after the collision if the impact was: 1) absolutely inelastic; 2) absolutely elastic. Bodies move in one straight line; the impact is central, i.e. the velocities of the bodies are directed along the line connecting their centers of mass.
