You play as Captain Ashley Novak - you are a riftbreaker, an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful mecha suit. Pass through a one-way portal to Galatea-37, a remote planet on the outskirts of the Milky Way, to build a base that will allow you to return to Earth, as well as begin colonization. Ashley´s mecha suit, which she gave the nickname "Mr. Riggs", can withstand the most difficult external conditions and is equipped with all the tools for base construction, resource extraction, sample collection and, of course, combat. It is adapted to travel through wormholes that connect distant points in space.
CAMPAIGN
Embark on an epic adventure through the biomes of Galatea 37. Build bases in different parts of the planet and mine resources. Study alien matter and life forms. Repel attacks by alien creatures who are clearly not happy that you have invaded their territory. In this multi-hour campaign with incredible freedom of action and a randomly generated world, you set your own priorities and decide which technologies to use. After all, you are the only person on this planet.
SURVIVAL
Your mission is to survive for a certain amount of time, repelling increasingly deadly waves of alien creatures. Each mission is randomly generated, which makes this mode incredibly replayable.
SANDBOX
If the intense struggle for survival is not your thing, try the Sandbox mode, where you can customize every detail of the game, including resources, enemy generation, and weather conditions.
BUILD A BASE
Your task is to build a two-way wormhole to return to Earth. This is a very complex invention that requires a huge amount of energy. Simple solar batteries and a couple of tons of steel will not do here. To cope with this task, you will have to build a complex chain of mines, oil wells, power plants, and research facilities.
DISCOVER
Galatea-37 is an uncharted planet in the Sycorax belt of the Milky Way galaxy. Remote observations have shown that it is uninhabited and ideal for colonization. The planet is rich in rare minerals and elements, deposits of which are scattered across its surface. Various biomes will surprise you with unknown fauna and flora, as well as harsh weather conditions. You will be able to build outposts in locations with natural resources and transport them using wormhole technology.
CUSTOMIZE THE GAMEPLAY FOR YOURSELF
The Riftbreaker™ gameplay can be customized to suit your preferences. Change the frequency of enemy attacks, the strength and number of enemies, resource generation, natural disasters, enemy damage and much more. In addition, the game has several difficulty levels, so everyone - from strategy veterans to fans of leisurely base development - will find a mode to their taste.
