The world of the living is rotten through and through, a storm is coming that will change the established order of things. This storm is you, the mighty Necromancer, the sorcerer who did not submit to death, leading the legions of the dead. Clerics and lords hope to hide behind high walls, but there is no fortress that can stop your anger. Defeat hundreds of enemies along the way and make them your tools on your way to your ultimate goal. The Unliving is a fast-paced rogue-lite action RPG with strategy elements in which you will resurrect the dead, use a variety of spells and explore a mysterious world, made in atmospheric pixel art.
TURN YOUR ENEMIES INTO YOUR UNDEAD ARMY
Each defeated enemy can be resurrected and replenished with his army, creating undead legions of unlimited size. Resurrected creatures have their own abilities, so a priest who blessed in life will begin to curse enemies in the afterlife. CRUSH EVERYONE IN YOUR PATH Only some of the living are helpless victims. The rest are ready to fight back the invasion of the dead. They stay in tight groups, have destructive abilities and are ready to ask dearly for their lives. You will have to demonstrate all your talents as an undead lord to defeat them. CONQUER UNKNOWN LANDS The game world is randomly generated every new playthrough, generously filled with creatures, artifacts, secret rooms and deadly traps. Each piece of the world is inhabited by its own characteristic inhabitants: in the village you can easily replenish your army with weak peasants, and in the swamps you can lose another life from the claws of a giant crabman. UNLOCK THE SECRETS OF NECROMANCE Collect mysterious notes, knock out answers from enemies and study the writing on ancient artifacts to collect piece by piece the lost memory of the Necromancer, learn the true nature of his immortality, the secrets of his mysterious phylactery companion and the dark secrets of the highest hierarchs of the Church. BATTLE EPIC BOSSES Challenge the strongest creatures of the world, and you will find a real test of your skills. Each boss has a unique fighting style and abilities. To win, you will have to think tactically. DIE AND RISE AGAIN The Necromancer´s greatest secret is victory over death. For all living things, it is the end of the road, for him it is a new beginning. Remember and study the causes of your death and then you will be able to avoid it next time.
