Product description

To study the structure and function of biological membranes, models are used - artificial phospholipid membranes, consisting of a bimolecular layer of phospholipids. The thickness of the artificial membrane reaches about l = 6 nm. Find the electric capacity 1 cm2 of such a membrane, considering its relative permittivity ε = 3. Compare the obtained electric capacity with a similar capacitor characteristic, the distance between the plates of which is l = 1 mm at ε = l.
