To the State Labor Inspectorate for clarification

The following employees applied to the state labor inspectorate for clarification on the establishment of part-time work:
1) the head of the personnel department of Signal OJSC. He received three applications from women dispatchers of the production department who have children under the age of 14 about establishing a part-time job: two workers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a third woman with a disabled child from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. The latter also asked to allow her to work part-time with an additional weekend on Wednesday. The head of the production department categorically opposed the establishment of a part-time job, because he believed that this would violate the normal process of the enterprise;
2) a draftsman Somova, combining work with third-year studies at the Institute´s evening faculty. The employer refused to establish an incomplete (five-hour) working day, which would allow her to have more free time for study;
3) Kunitsyn, having I degree of disability (III group of disability) and the right to work part-time.
