DLC only
Edition type: Steam Gift
ROW / GLOBAL / REGION FREE
The Polis Culture Pack adds a new playable culture to Total War: ROME II and its three factions. They can be used in single and multiplayer campaign modes, as well as in special and multiplayer battles.
The Polis Culture set will add diplomatic Athenians, cunning Epirus and strong Spartans to the game. Each of these factions has their own unique tactics for achieving cultural victories and triumph on the battlefield, as well as deadly elite warriors capable of crushing any enemy.
The Greek states have common goals, views and aspirations. However, their independence has always been an important feature, which means that they have completely different approaches to achieving civil and military goals, which is why they often had to clash with the rest of the world and even with each other.
New features:
New playable factions - Athens, Epirus and Sparta - each of these states can give you a completely new experience of the game thanks to its unique sets of strong combat units, distinctive features and special play styles.
The Athenians´ desire for enlightenment allows them to outstrip their neighbors in technological and cultural terms; the domination of the Spartans over the helots allows Sparta to have a large number of slaves; and Epirus, due to its origins, receives additional income from settlements.
New cultural features - All Greek cities receive a bonus in battle while defending their own or friendly territory, their capitals produce more wealth, and cultural transformations within their borders are faster.
New Cultural Objectives - The Greek states have their own conditions for military, economic and cultural victory. In addition, Greek cities have additional goals taken straight from the history of Greece: each faction will have its own unique events and dilemmas.
New military traditions - Each of the Greek states has its own military traditions, in which it knows no equal: the Athenian navy is revered as children of the Aegean Sea - the ability of their ships to ram is improved, and during an attack they are able to take more prey; Spartan soldiers will be remembered as equal to Tsar Leonidas - their defense in close combat increases, and the cost of upkeep decreases; the formidable armies of Epirus are called the dogs of Molossus - they receive bonuses when attacking, and it is easier for them to keep public order.
