Game Description:
To an outsider´s eye, the endless forest of Athel Loren seems gloomy and ominous. Under its dense crowns, eternal twilight reigns; age-old trees now and then break the silence with creaks and groans, and barely noticeable spirits curl between their trunks.

Azrai - forest elves - live in it. Like the rest of the elven peoples, they came west from Ulthuan, but they are alien to both the arrogant arrogance of the asuras and the bloody decadence of the druchii. Azrai consider themselves the only true elves who have retained all the light and dark sides of their race. For many millennia they have been living in peace and harmony with the intelligent forest.

Azrai are friends with the original inhabitants of Athel Loren - dryads, branch spirits and mighty treemen. They ride horses, hawks, and great eagles, and call upon the few forest dragons for help when needed. Unsurpassed horsemen and archers, the Azrai serve the demigod Orion, who dies in fire every winter, only to be reborn under the Ancient Oak when spring arrives.

The Wood Elf warriors are ferocious, unpredictable and ready to defend their green home fiercely. Only a fool would dare to quarrel with them and their recognized allies. Most who have witnessed the mighty Azrai armies emerging from the woods on the Wild Hunt will no longer be able to describe the spectacle.
Campaign Features
In the campaign, the Wood Elves are markedly different from the rest of the Total War: WARHAMMER races. The basis of their infrastructure is the settlements located in Athel Loren, but the Azrai can conquer other territories, replacing the captured cities of enemies with their own outposts. The center of their kingdom is the Ancient Oak, a unique 5-tier building that has a new campaign victory condition associated with it.

In combat, Wood Elves are fast and deadly. Most of their units are capable of dealing massive damage, but are quite vulnerable at the same time. Outnumbered in physical strength and numbers by other races, the Azrai are nonetheless very skilled in both close and ranged combat. They own some of the best archers in the game, capable of shooting on the move and using different types of ammunition. In addition to the elves themselves, dryads, eagles, treemen and other inhabitants of Athel Loren fight in the armies of the Azrai, and the magicians of this race own the schools of Life, Beasts and Shadows.
New Story Campaign: Revelation Time
In the Time of Revelation campaign, which takes place on a specially designed map of Athel Loren and the surrounding Breton duchies, you can play the role of one of the two legendary wood elf lords - Durtha or Orion. You have to unite the forest to fight the Breton threat, and then repel a series of devastating attacks from the leader of the beastmen, Morghur.
