XCOM 2 is a continuation of the strategy XCOM: Enemy Unknown, beloved by players and critics, which received the title of "Game of the Year" in 2012.

The Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders signed the act of unconditional surrender to aliens. The XCOM organization, the last line of defense of the Earth, has been destroyed, and its remnants are scattered around the world. In XCOM 2, aliens rule the planet, building it with glittering cities and promising humanity a bright future. However, the aliens secretly hatch sinister plans and destroy all who refuse to live by the new rules.
Only those who live on the outskirts of the new world retain the last vestiges of freedom. They gather their forces to fight back against the invaders. Forced to constantly hide from superior enemy forces, former XCOM agents try to revive their organization, expose the occupiers and destroy them once and for all.

• XCOM UNDERGROUND: Become the captain of the Avenger, an alien transport ship converted into a mobile XCOM headquarters. The game´s new open world gives you the opportunity to choose where to strike next, how to enlist the support of the population and when to conduct special operations that disrupt the plans of "Advent"
• RECRUIT RESISTANCE FIGHTERS: Five classes of fighters, each with their own unique talent tree, will allow you to create squads of soldiers whose skills are best suited to the implementation of your tactical plans
• GUERRILLA TACTICS: New game mechanics will give you more freedom in battle. Use cover to ambush enemy patrols and take battle trophies from the corpses of defeated opponents. Rescue VIPs and wounded comrades by dragging them to the extraction zone

• EVERY MISSION IS UNIQUE: Go on missions all over the world, from the wilds to the heart of alien-controlled cities and the depths of enemy installations. There is an almost infinite variety of map combinations, missions and objectives
• CREATE YOUR OWN MODIFICATIONS: special game tools allow players to create their own campaigns, tactical and strategic gameplay features, aliens and new classes of fighters, and then share them with the gaming community via the Steam Workshop
