Each title allows you to select or upgrade an imperial permit:

Imperial soldiers, janissaries and cataphracts join the battle for you in a difficult moment.

Orbital strikes and orbital volleys hit your enemies from above.
Shuttles will take you wherever you want to go.
Labor teams help when you don´t have enough workers.There are many ways to develop psychic abilities. Those who receive imperial titles receive authority from the ceremonial imperial bestower. Tribal colonists can communicate with the mysterious anima tree to establish their psychic connection. Or you can fight the Empire using stolen psychic technologies acquired during quests.

There is a wide variety of psychic abilities. Some are made for combat:

Skip, skip chaos, skip mass chaos, skip chunks and move people and objects over long distances to gain a tactical advantage. Extract wounded allies, cross no man´s land, drag enemies into melee fights, change shelters where you need it.

Pain block and concentration set up the mind to fight.
Blinding pulse and vertigo pulse blind your enemies or cause them to vomit uncontrollably.
A neuroquake overloads every conscious being on the map with a huge wave of psychic energy.

Tribal colonists meditate directly in nature, in front of the anima tree itself or in front of built sanctuaries or ancient stones.
Sickly colonists with traits of a psychopath, cannibal or bloodthirsty meditate on the graves. It is more effective when there is a relative in the grave
