Take the transportation of passengers through the Long Island Rail Road in the New York area, managing the classic M3 series electric train for Train SIM World 2! As part of the Train Park Update program to the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, Long Island Rail Road, with the support of the New York transportation (MTA), purchased 770 M1 electric trains built by BUDD and General Electric factories. The M1 series trains received the nickname “Metropolitan” (from the English phrases “Metropolitan Service” - urban and suburban transportation) and immediately became the main workhorses on the electricized lines of the Lirr network. In the period from 1984 to 1986, as the network grows and increases the share of electrified tracks, Lirr and MTA again turned to the BUDD plant and ordered 174 similar electric trains of the M3 series.
